Names:
:bulletblack: Trainer: Justinian "Jin" Silver
:bulletwhite: Pokemon: Lugia/Reverie
:bulletblue: Anon: Azrael

Age: 19

Gender:

Height/Weight: 5'8" / 142 lbs

Country: Pramize

Job: Leader

Field: All

Personality:
:bulletblack: Jin:
- eccentric - This is kind of a given, considering Jin's unusual upbringing. Among things Jin does not understand: the concept of behaving like a civilized human being, the point of a gender binary, when it is not appropriate to go barefoot, why you're not supposed to strip when company is around, that not all things can or should be solved with violence, how to take things like personal dignity seriously, etc.
- cheerful - Jin is usually in a good mood, though he's pretty low-key about it. Unfortunately, he also likes messing with people, which has led to accusations of trollhood. Fazing Jin is nearly impossible, as is stressing him out. Jin is rarely nervous or apprehensive, and perhaps prone to taking things more lightly than he should. Jin can be condescending and irreverent, though he doesn't mean anything by it. He is genuinely a sweetheart to most people, which is... terrifying, taking everything into account.
- intense - Although it is difficult to get Jin riled up, it can be done, and the results are unnerving. Jin has what is often described as an iron will; dissuading him is just not going to happen. When truly angry or focused, Jin seems to become almost a different person entirely - cold, unflinching, and ruthlessly focused on whatever his objective happens to be. Jin's anger is not hot and unfocused, but cold and precise and controlled, making it all the more dangerous.
- cunning - Most wouldn't guess it to look at him, but Jin is actually rather intelligent (surprising, yes?). He's very observant, and tends to notice things that are out of place and has a knack for connecting the dots. Jin has little trouble going from point A to point B (or point A to point D, bypassing B and C completely), so it's hard to get most things past him. That doesn't mean he doesn't have terrible interpersonal skills. In fact, Jin is very emotionally distant, rarely getting swept up by things.
- secretive - Jin rarely confides in anyone about anything, except for Reverie. While he's all for listening to other people, he doesn't like to talk about himself. Other people usually do that for him anyway, which he finds amusing. Jin is, unfortunately, rather fond of encouraging completely off-the-mark rumors because he thinks it's funny. He's fine with being underestimated and thought of as a rather inane pretty boy (or, you know, girl, that happens a lot too), as he cares very little about his reputation so long as it gets the job done.
:bulletwhite: Reverie:
- indifferent - Reverie doesn't really care about anyone or anything, with the possible exception of Jin. No one is really sure, except for Reverie and Jin themselves.
- amoral - one of the things Reverie doesn't care about? Rules. Specifically, other people's rules, or society in general. Reverie does whatever she wants, whether or not it's socially acceptable.
- cold - Reverie is pretty detached from everything, and has difficulty empathizing with anything, ever. While Reverie understands the concepts of emotions and the like intellectually, Reverie tends not to care. The only exception to this is Jin, who Reverie seems rather fond of and puts up with a lot of his antics.
- prideful - Reverie is very proud of what she is, and doesn't even bother to try to hide it. She is often condescending, cruel, or otherwise not very nice, and reacts to any perceived insults with violence.
- harsh - although Reverie doesn't try to be, Reverie's own strict ideas of what's right and what's not right are very difficult to deal with. Also, Reverie tends to disregard things like other people's feelings and reasons for doing things whenever possible, and is not averse to intimidation as persuasion. Reverie is very Darwinian, Machiavellian, Nietzchean - all that good stuff.
:bulletblue: Azrael:
- tranquil - Azrael always gives off an aura of calm, unhurried politeness. This never falls, no matter how angry or upset he becomes, which is kind of terrifying at times. He smiles a lot, but it is out of courtesy, not cheer.
- distant - it's difficult to get to know Azrael, much less consider him a friend. He doesn't really interact with anyone on a personal level, or seem to even acknowledge them. While he's still polite and courteous to everyone, it's commonly noted that he never seems to be looking at anyone, only through them. He has an almost alien set of morals/principles indecipherable to... pretty much anyone that's not him, Jin, or Reverie, which doesn't help.
- protective - Although Azrael's not really close to anyone, he takes his duties seriously and is prone to reacting with violence whenever anyone from Flame is threatened. While still smiling and being polite.
- direct - Tact is not one of Azrael's strong points. Neither is dancing around questions. Azrael is the kind of person who, when presented with the Gordian knot, would proceed to not just cut it, but pulverize it into tiny pieces so no one could possibly argue that it didn't count and make him try to do it again.
- merciless - if Azrael thinks that something needs to be done for the good of Pramize or to end the war, he'll do it. End of question. Nothing else matters.

Bio: Justinian Silver was born the elder of two children, son of a Pramizian military father who was rarely home, leaving his mother to effectively raise her son and daughter alone. She taught them both to fight, metaphorically and literally. Justy's early life was characterized by his mother's lessons, his own shenanigans, and a very small, Irish town in the middle of basically nowhere that, like many of the tiny communities of Pramize, had a longstanding hold on tradition, manifesting mostly in its devotion to its dragons. When Justy's father died in battle, the military started pressuring his mother to enlist, but she refused, using her status as a naturalized Pramizian to avoid compulsory service.

When Justy was seven, the children strayed too far from home. They had the misfortune of coming across a wild Archeops's nest, which promptly attacked. His sister, Elle, was hideously mauled and Justy himself terribly injured, and would probably have died as well if it hadn't been for the timely intervention of, of all things, a Lugia. The Lugia easily beat back the Archeops and carried both Justy and his sister's body back to the town for reasons of its own, still unknown. Unsurprisingly, it was kind of a mess.

Word found its way back to the military, which took a special interest in the case. Once he was well enough to travel, Justy was taken from his mother and sent to the Flame base, where he would spend basically the rest of his life, like many children who had been found to have bonded with a legendary (though, to be fair, the majority of those children had been at least twice his age). No one was particularly thrilled about the arrangement, especially not Justy. At seven, he was already strong-willed and fiercely independent, traits his mother had encouraged but the military didn't need, especially out of a kid who could still count his age on his fingers. The result was a child that spent most of his time avoiding everyone he could by finding the most obscure, hidden corners of the Flame base and refusing to budge until he very well felt like it.

The next ten years were a rather difficult time. Gradually, the boy grew up and gave in. Justy became part of the past - instead, most called him by his last name, Silver. He began training with the soldiers, old and new recruits alike, and learned to hold his own. Though Silver never had any formal schooling, he had a tendency to borrow/steal all the books he could get his hands on, especially anything concerning history and the war itself, which the Lugia, Reverie, helped with. Silver became fairly well-known around the base, though his existence was hidden from the other Alliances, even before he came of age and could fight openly in the war.

Unknown to Silver, the Flame authorities were conducting an exhaustive check on his background, as they did with most such children - searching for a link they could exploit to find more legendaries and their partners. They didn't turn up anything relevant, but they did probe more deeply into his mother's history - who, it turned out, was a refugee from the Neutral Land, but before that, had served in Aisumond's military as Kusanagi, a highly destructive Metagross anon who had torn through enemy soldiers until she had suddenly disappeared more than fifteen years earlier. To no one's surprise, least of all Zoey Silver's, she was summarily and quietly executed. Silver was eleven at the time, and present at the small gathering - the first time he had seen his mother in four years, and the last time.

As he grew up even more, Silver became less and less tractable (not that he had been particularly easy to handle to begin with). By the time he was fifteen, he had developed a bad habit of sneaking off to either Pramize or Era, wandering around the cities doing whatever he pleased. Free-spirited, reckless, and a rather terrifyingly vicious fighter; all these traits contributed to making the teenage Silver really, really difficult to deal with for military personnel and hapless civilians alike. It didn't help that Reverie didn't bother to discourage her ward's escapades, since Reverie didn't see anything wrong with letting Silver run wild.

When he finally came of age, he was given his pokefuser and instructions to fuse with Reverie. The result was, unsurprisingly, Azrael, who earned his name for being super creepy. It was about this time that Silver started introducing himself as Jin for reasons he never disclosed. To no one's surprise, Jin began moving up in the ranks quickly, partly due to his own skills, honed by ten years and counting of military training, and partly because, hello, giant Lugia for a partner. But even then, no one expected Jin to make leader quite so fast. Although he's only recently become leader of Pramize under somewhat questionable circumstances, Jin is probably one of the most volatile leaders, and everyone knows it.

TL;DR
:bulletblack: Justinian Silver is born in Pramize, one younger sister
:bulletblack: Father, a medic in Pramize's military, dies in battle when Justy is four
:bulletblack: Sister killed by wild Archeops, Justy also hurt but saved by Reverie, a Lugia
:bulletblack: Flame military takes Justy because that's how they deal with random kids finding legendaries
:bulletblack: Justy starts going by Silver, trained to fight, lead, etc
:bulletblack: Silver's mother is executed when he is eleven
:bulletblack: Silver is pretty much impossible to deal with in his teenage years (re: sleeping around in more ways than one)
:bulletblack: At seventeen, is finally presented with a pokefuser, forms Azrael with Reverie
:bulletblack: Becomes leader under "mysterious circumstances" at eighteen

Poke-Fuser: a pair of plain black rings. Only one of them actually functions like a Pokeball, which Jin wears on the ring finger of his left hand (which, yes, has led to jokes about them being married but whatever). Jin wears the other on the ring finger of his right hand, and it's pretty much a "dummy" ring, though it does have some storage capabilities that come in handy. He activates the Pokefuser by touching the rings to each other, usually by putting his hands together, as if in prayer.

Weapons: Twin laser blades shaped like feathers on the ends of chains that are generated by his bracelets. They can be activated individually of each other at will, making it possible for Azrael to easily go from rest to attacking with none, one, or both without much pause. It also makes it hella annoying to fight him, since it's difficult to keep on top of an opponent who keeps transitioning from either arm, both, or just going barehanded without much effort. The chains are capable of extending up to roughly ten feet, but are usually shorter than that. They cannot cut, but are capable of binding or otherwise being annoying, while the blade is perfectly sharp. When attacking, Azrael's sleeves somehow never get in the way. It's like magic or something.

Other:
:bulletblack: Jin speaks with an Irish accent, a product of his childhood. This confuses people (who aren't from Pramize, anyway) when he starts talking in Chinese, which is also a result of his childhood. He used to be able to speak some Irish as a child, but pretty much forgot it all due to lack of use. Additionally, he does have some rather basic German picked up from his mentor Teresa Morgenstern, the last leader of Pramize.
:bulletblack: Jin has been trained as a sniper, though he doesn't really use that in combat, since Azrael takes care of that. He's also good with knives and tends to have a good amount concealed somewhere on his person. Jin usually fights with two at a time, having been taught by his mentor, whose anon was a knife fighter, and also just picking some of it up on the streets.
:bulletblack: Jin has like, six piercings per ear (four cartilage, two lobe). He got ten of twelve in a fit of teenage pique, but he's had his ears pierced since he was about four, due to his mother. Usually he just wears small rings/studs to keep from getting in the way. He always wears a certain pair of earrings, which were the ones his mother originally gave him. He also always wears a small silver cross on a chain around his neck that was once (one half of) his father's Pokefuser.
:bulletblack: Jin is really effeminate, and prone to sparkling as well as peppering his sentences with ~♥s. People are of the general consensus that on a scale of one to ten, Jin is flaming gay, though technically he's closer to pansexual, since he really doesn't care about gender or sex.
:bulletblack: Although Jin likes guys and girls and is good at talking to them (it just comes naturally, he shrugs), he's not looking for a relationship because that would just get messy real quick. Totally not averse to one-night stands and things of that nature, though. Is an unrepentant whore.
:bulletblack: Jin has a way with dragon Pokemon. They tend to like him, most likely because he kind of acts like a dragon himself. Jin, in turn, is very affectionate with pretty much all dragon Pokemon. It is occasionally creepy.
:bulletblack: Jin is terrible with technology more advanced than anything he needs to shank people with. It is not uncommon for him to find random people and cling to them while whining about how _______ isn't working please help, only for them to point out he probably forgot to plug it in or something. It's usually something like that.
:bulletblack: Jin gets cold easily and often "borrows" people's shirts/hoodies/etc and "forgets" to give them back. Unless it's summer, in which case he is likely to not wear a shirt (or shoes) or just randomly strip off his shirt when it gets to be annoying.
:bulletblack: Jin is basically a cat; clingy, needy and whiny about it, easily bored, enjoys being petted, and tends to sleep a lot for short periods of time. It doesn't help that, whenever Reverie gets annoyed with him, she picks him up by the back of his shirt and throws him around to make him shut up.
:bulletblack: Jin wins prettiest leader, hands down.
:bulletblack: Jin's hair grew like three feet in a year. No one is sure how. When asked, Jin just says it's a family curse. No one is sure if he's telling the truth.
:bulletblack: Jin wears guyliner to emulate Reverie. It makes him feel closer to the Lugia, which is kind of sad but true.
:bulletblack: Jin plays the piano, a holdover from his childhood. Mostly he plays by ear and just messing around. Although he can read some sheet music, it's pretty basic and he usually doesn't bother with it. Jin also sings very well, but isn't really into it. More interestingly, so does Azrael, but typically only when it would be creepiest, in a wordless croon that sounds more supernatural/like a Lugia than human.
:bulletwhite: Although Jin usually refers to Reverie as she, most people use male pronouns for Reverie. Reverie doesn't care.
:bulletwhite: Reverie is probably the only person Jin still considers any kind of family, and has any kind of close emotional bond with.
:bulletwhite: Among Reverie's other "jobs", she tends to make a pretty good bed. When Jin was younger, he pretty much never slept when or where he was supposed to, and would often be found curled up with Reverie in some corner in the middle of nowhere. While they don't do it as much now, it's not uncommon for Jin to be found taking a nap with Reverie curled up around him. It's kind of cute, in a weird way.
:bulletwhite: Reverie basically raised Jin from the time they met, so it's little wonder that Jin is about as socially retarded as they come.
:bulletwhite: Reverie plain ignores anyone who refers to her as a bird, or anything similar. The only description she accepts is dragon. She is also pretty fricking huge.
:bulletblue: Azrael is perhaps best known for his tendency to bring monstrous storms in his wake, which has earned him various nicknames revolving around storms, all of which he thinks are kind of dumb. He has no problems fighting in sea or sky, and usually goes between both. Land is, of course, an option, but he specializes in open water campaigns.
:bulletblue: Azrael is capable of, among other things, walking on water, and does so. This gets him weird looks.
:bulletblue: Azrael does this thing where he doesn't need to breathe nearly as much as he should, and goes for ages without needing to surface from crushing depths of the ocean or descend from super thin, oxygen-poor altitudes. No one is entirely sure how this works.
:bulletblue: Azrael's earpiece things are part of his headset. The pointed diamond parts float separately and help relay information, while the part that wraps directly around his head is connected to the mic. It is also capable of projecting a kind of holographic blue visor that can display visual information, which is mostly deployed when underwater/at extreme heights for better communication, as well as during harsh weather (so pretty much every time he calls a storm, ever) for heightened visibility.
:bulletblue: One title that Azrael does accept is simply "the witch", which he got back before he became leader. No one is entirely sure why. Unsurprisingly, there are plenty of burn the witch jokes. Also just calling him a bitch instead.
:bulletblue: Jin and Azrael started out as a Specialist, with a focus on the medical field. Azrael is actually pretty good at it, but is quite happy to be overly destructive as well, which he is terrifyingly good at. Jin, although he went through the same training, isn't quite as interested in it, but is a passable medic if need be. Azrael's build and tactics tend toward Seraph, which he also identifies as if asked, though he has every bit of a Surgeon's skill and ability to use healing techniques on others.
:bulletblue: Azrael can and does store medic equipment in his gigantic sleeves. No one is sure why that seemed like a good idea to anyone.
